In 2008, Jill had a vision that she would be taking care of dogs. She wasn't sure how, or when, but she knew that's what she was meant to do. But life threw Jill some curve balls over the years, making her dream seem elusive.
Her first experiences caring for dogs started in 2011 when she got a job working for a veterinarian as a vet tech. She was trained to draw blood, do x-rays, assist the veterinarian, and perform grooming. That experience was invaluable. It was there Jill learned she loved caring for and grooming dogs, and when she decided to pursue professional grooming full time. Jill spent the next 7 years offering professional grooming services, 4 of which were at the Petco Store in mid-county.
Through all of this, she never forgot her dream of one day opening her own grooming and boarding business. Her husband Joey shared in her vision. In 2016, construction began on Elite Pet Resort. It took 18 months to build the facilities and get everything in order. In opening her doors, Jill has finally realized the vision she had over a decade ago and has truly found her calling in life.
